SAJO Portal

The project was done during my internship at Accenture Song in the summer of 2024. The project was for a non-profit organisation called Sammen om en Jobb that helps immigrants with finding relevant work. Their service includes a mentor program, where immigrants receives guidance from people with experience from norwegian worklife. The mentor program is facilitated through an online portal, which they felt could be improved to enhance the user experience of their service as a whole.

Process
To understand how we could improve the platform, it was key to understand the users behaviours and needs. Therefore, we exectuded a number of interviews with people that was a part of program SAJO offered, both immigrants trying to get work and people with experience from norwegian worklife. With the insight gathered from interviews, we were able to create a user journey, highlighting where the main pain points were.
The main pain points was related to portals front page and "Learning" page. They felt non informative and hard to navigate. To change them was challenging though, considering we had to work within the constraints of a CRM. For me as a designer, that meant being as creative as I could with what I had available.

To get to the final solution demanded lots of iterations based on feedback from developers and users, and working creatively within boundaries. In the end, we were very pleased with the work we were able to do, and the product was well recieved by the client and put in use the autumn of 2024. These are the final results:
